AWS Lambda introduces public preview for Node.js 26 and Python 3.15 managed runtimes
AWS Lambda now offers managed runtimes in public preview, starting with Node.js 26 and Python 3.15, allowing customers and partners to test upcoming language versions before General Availability. This new preview mechanism enables early feedback and allows breaking changes during the preview period, preventing post-GA impact on production workloads. It also provides third-party tool vendors time for compatibility validation. These preview runtimes are available in all AWS commercial, GovCloud, and China Regions at standard Lambda rates, though they are not covered by SLA and are not recommended for production.
