AWS Local Zone now generally available in Athens, Greece
AWS has launched a new Local Zone in Athens, Greece, bringing compute and storage services closer to users within the country. - General availability of AWS Local Zone in Athens, Greece
A new AWS Local Zone is now generally available in Athens, Greece. This zone supports key services like Amazon S3 and Amazon EBS Local Snapshots to facilitate in-country data processing and residency compliance.
- Support for EC2 C7i, M7i, and R7i instances
The Athens Local Zone offers Amazon EC2 instances from the C7i, M7i, and R7i families. It also supports Amazon S3 One Zone-Infrequent Access, various Amazon EBS volume types, and services such as ECS, EKS, VPC, Direct Connect, and Application Load Balancer.
