AWS Step Functions now automatically adds AWS SDK integrations for new AWS services and capabilities within weeks of their release. This enhancement allows developers to orchestrate the latest AWS services, such as AWS Lambda MicroVMs and Core, directly from their workflows without waiting. It supports building distributed applications, including agentic workflows with isolated execution environments, and is now generally available in all AWS regions where Step Functions is offered. AWS will no longer publish specific "What's New" posts for these continuous SDK integration updates.

    Due to the continuous and automatic nature of these updates, AWS will no longer publish specific 'What's New' posts to highlight new AWS SDK service integration updates for Step Functions.
