Microsoft announced that Azure SQL Data Sync will be retired on September 30th, 2027. This deprecation means existing workloads will be deleted, and associated data will be lost after this date. Engineers using SQL Data Sync should plan to migrate to alternative solutions, such as Azure Data Factory, Azure Functions, or various SQL features like read replicas, linked servers, mirroring, Always-On, and transaction replication, before the retirement deadline to avoid service disruptions.
