Azure SQL Database now supports configuring soft delete for logical servers, currently available in public preview. This enhancement allows logical servers to enter a soft-deleted state upon deletion and be self-restored within a configurable retention period. The capability aims to provide predictable and consistent recovery from accidental server deletions without requiring Microsoft support.
