Cloud SQL for PostgreSQL Gains Feature Use Assessments in Database Center
Cloud SQL for PostgreSQL introduces Feature Use assessments within its Database Center, now available in Preview. This new capability enables users to evaluate the performance impact of database recommendations before applying them to production instances. The assessment workflow clones a database, runs benchmarking simulations, and compares baseline performance against recommended configuration changes. This helps database administrators and SREs test changes in a controlled environment to prevent unforeseen issues.
