Cloud SQL for PostgreSQL: Knowledge Catalog Enabled by Default for New HA Instances
Newly created high-availability Cloud SQL for PostgreSQL instances now automatically enable Knowledge Catalog (formerly Dataplex Universal Catalog). This integration allows instances running PostgreSQL 14.0 or later to send updates and metadata in near real-time. The feature can be verified or disabled directly through the Google Cloud console, streamlining metadata management for new HA deployments.

- Cloud SQL for PostgreSQL
Newly created instances configured with high availability (HA) now have Knowledge Catalog (formerly Dataplex Universal Catalog) enabled by default. Cloud SQL for PostgreSQL instances running on PostgreSQL version 14.0 or later send updates and metadata to Knowledge Catalog in near real-time.
