Cloud SQL for SQL Server HA instances integrate with Knowledge Catalog by default

Newly created Cloud SQL for SQL Server instances configured for high availability (HA) now enable Knowledge Catalog (formerly Dataplex Universal Catalog) by default. This integration facilitates data discovery by transmitting instance updates and metadata to the catalog. It affects users provisioning new HA SQL Server instances on Cloud SQL. Users can manage this feature, including verification or disabling, through the Google Cloud console.

  • Cloud SQL for SQL Server

    Newly created instances configured with high availability (HA) now have Knowledge Catalog (formerly Dataplex Universal Catalog) enabled by default. Cloud SQL for SQL Server instances send updates and metadata to Knowledge Catalog to help support data discovery.
