Databricks Enhances Genie Agents with GA APIs and Unity Catalog Function Tools
Databricks has made Agent mode APIs for Genie Agents generally available, allowing programmatic integration into applications like chatbots and internal tools. This enhancement enables developers to embed agent capabilities directly into their custom solutions. Additionally, agent authors can now attach both scalar and table-valued Unity Catalog functions as tools for Genie Agents. This significantly expands the agents' ability to interact with and leverage structured data within the Databricks ecosystem.
