GitHub Copilot Code Review Gets Enhanced Personal & Enterprise Configuration

GitHub Copilot code review now offers expanded configuration options, including a dedicated personal settings page available for all Copilot plans and an enterprise-wide default review effort setting. These enhancements provide individual developers and enterprise administrators with more granular control over automatic code reviews and their intensity (Lite/Balanced). Individual users across all Copilot plans and enterprise administrators managing organization-owned repositories are affected. All new configuration capabilities are generally available.

  • Dedicated Personal Settings Page for All Copilot Plans

    A new "Copilot code review" page under profile settings is now available for every Copilot plan, including Business and Enterprise. Users can configure automatic reviews to trigger on pull request creation, coauthorship, or moving out of draft, and set a default review effort.

  • Enterprise-Wide Default Review Effort Setting

    Authorized enterprise administrators can now establish a default review effort (Lite, Balanced, or GitHub default) for all organization-owned repositories. This enterprise-level default is inheritable, with options for organizations and repositories to apply their own overrides.
