Google Compute Engine Z4D Machine Series Now Generally Available
The storage-optimized Z4D machine series has reached general availability for Google Compute Engine, offering a new option for high storage density workloads. These instances are powered by AMD EPYC Turin processors and Titanium offload processors, designed for low core usage. They are particularly suited for SQL, NoSQL, and vector databases, data analytics, data warehouses, search, and AI/ML parallel file systems. The Z4D series supports up to 3 TB of memory, 42,000 GiB of local Titanium SSD, and 400 Gbps network bandwidth, available in predefined standardlssd and highlssd machine shapes.
