Google Distributed Cloud (software only) for VMware 1.34.800-gke.90 Now Available
Google Distributed Cloud (software only) for VMware 1.34.800-gke.90 is now available, running on Kubernetes v1.34.7-gke.200. This update fixes several vulnerabilities, resolves an issue where user clusters remained stuck during admin cluster upgrades, and prevents `gkectl prepare` failures due to certificate permissions. It also addresses a critical bug that could wipe encryption keys when retrying advanced cluster upgrades. Users should note that GKE On-Prem API client availability will follow in 7-14 days.

The admin cluster controller skipped reconciling legacy cluster lifecycle components during upgrades unless an initial migration annotation was set. If legacy user clusters still existed on the admin cluster, missing legacy API discovery ( cluster.k8s.io/v1alpha1 ) caused controller reconciliation to stall.
