Redshift Serverless preserves integrations during snapshot restores

dataawsengineeraws-s3aws-redshift
patch

Amazon Redshift Serverless now automatically keeps zero-ETL and S3 event integrations intact when restoring a namespace from a snapshot. This enhancement eliminates manual recreation of integrations after restores, reducing downtime and administrative effort for disaster recovery and testing. The feature is available in all regions where Redshift Serverless is offered and applies only to restores within the same namespace.

Enhancements (1)
  • Redshift Serverless preserves zero-ETL and S3 event integrations on restore

Restoring a Redshift Serverless namespace from a snapshot now automatically preserves associated zero-ETL and S3 event integrations. Previously, these integrations failed upon restore, requiring manual re-creation and causing potential data ingestion gaps. This change simplifies disaster recovery and testing workflows by maintaining continuity of data pipelines.

Notes (1)
  • Restore scope and availability

This enhancement applies exclusively to restores within the same Redshift Serverless namespace. Restores to different namespaces or provisioned clusters will not maintain integrations. The feature is available in all AWS regions supporting Redshift Serverless.
