Amazon DocumentDB Adds MongoDB 8.0.2 Aggregation Stages, Retryable Writes, and Change Stream Enhancements
Amazon DocumentDB (with MongoDB compatibility) now supports retryable writes, five new aggregation stages, and change stream enhancements in version 8.0.2. This update expands MongoDB API compatibility and improves query performance, simplifying the migration of MongoDB workloads without application code changes. Key additions include $setWindowFields for advanced analytics, the $changeStreamSplitLargeEvent stage, and index-only scans for optimized queries. These capabilities are available in all regions where DocumentDB is offered.
