AWS Backup adds logically air-gapped vault support for Amazon FSx for NetApp ONTAP

AWS Backup now supports logically air-gapped vaults for Amazon FSx for NetApp ONTAP volumes, enabling secure and immutable backup storage. These vaults facilitate secure sharing across accounts and AWS Organizations, allowing direct restores to minimize recovery time from data loss events. The enhancement helps reduce downtime risk, ensures business continuity, and aids in meeting compliance and disaster recovery requirements. This functionality is available in all AWS Regions where both services are offered.
