feature

Amazon EC2 now includes application status checks, enabling customers to detect and respond to application-level issues on their instances. This new feature monitors issues like unresponsive web servers or stopped Docker daemons, integrating with existing EC2 status checks. It eliminates the need for customers to build custom monitoring solutions for application health, with Auto Scaling groups able to initiate instance recovery based on these checks. Customers configure checks by specifying protocol, port, path, and healthy response codes, and it is available in all commercial and AWS GovCloud regions.
