Amazon EC2 M8g instances with Graviton4 processors expand to more regions
Amazon EC2 M8g instances, powered by AWS Graviton4 processors, are now available in the Asia Pacific (Taipei) and Mexico (Central) regions. These instances offer up to 30% better performance than Graviton3-based instances for general-purpose workloads like application servers and microservices. M8g instances come in 12 sizes, including bare metal options, and provide enhanced networking and EBS bandwidth, building on the AWS Nitro System.

Amazon EC2 M8g instances, powered by AWS Graviton4 processors, have expanded their availability to the AWS Asia Pacific (Taipei) and AWS Mexico (Central) regions. These instances are designed for general-purpose workloads and offer improved performance over previous Graviton generations.

AWS Graviton4 processors in M8g instances deliver up to 30% better performance compared to Graviton3-based instances. Specific improvements include up to 40% faster performance for databases, 30% for web applications, and 45% for large Java applications.
- Expanded instance sizes and connectivity options
M8g instances are available in 12 sizes, including two bare metal options, and support larger configurations with up to 3x more vCPUs and memory than M7g instances. They also offer up to 50 Gbps of enhanced networking bandwidth and up to 40 Gbps of Amazon EBS bandwidth.
