Amazon Elastic Container Service (ECS) Express Mode now supports ARM64 CPU architecture. This enhancement allows users to deploy ARM-based container images on AWS Graviton-powered compute, offering up to 40% better price-performance than x86 instances. It benefits organizations optimizing for cost or those with existing ARM fleets by providing compute architecture choice. The capability is available in all AWS commercial and GovCloud regions and can be configured via various AWS tools.
