Amazon RDS for Db2 expands to more AWS Commercial regions
Amazon RDS for Db2 is now available in five additional AWS Commercial regions, including Asia Pacific (Thailand, Malaysia, Taipei) and North America (Central Mexico, Calgary). This expansion makes it easier for more customers to deploy and manage Db2 databases in the cloud with automatic optimal configuration and optional Multi-AZ high availability. Customers can choose between hourly licensing from AWS Marketplace or BYOL, with options for Standard, Advanced, and free Community Editions for development and testing.

- Flexible licensing and edition options
Customers can utilize hourly, pay-as-you-go licensing via the AWS Marketplace or bring their own licenses (BYOL). Both options are available for Standard and Advanced Editions, alongside the free Db2 Community Edition for development and testing purposes.
