Amazon Redshift Enhances IAM Identity Center Integration with Private VPC Routing
Amazon Redshift now supports AWS IAM Identity Center authentication with enhanced VPC routing, ensuring authentication traffic remains entirely within the AWS private network. This capability routes traffic through a VPC endpoint, addressing stringent data residency, regulatory, and network isolation requirements for many organizations. Users benefit from single sign-on using corporate credentials while maintaining a secure, private network path for identity validation. Implementing this feature requires Redshift clusters running patch 204 or later and specific VPC endpoint configurations for IAM Identity Center OIDC and identity store services.
