AWS DevOps Agent now supports bidirectional Slack communication, enabling engineers to manage production operations directly within Slack. This update consolidates the complete investigation lifecycle into a unified location, reducing fragmented workflows and context-switching during high-severity incidents. On-call engineers and DevOps teams can initiate investigations by @mentioning the agent, asking questions about AWS resources, metrics, and incident patterns. The capability is available in all commercial AWS Regions where the agent is supported, enhancing efficiency across AWS, multicloud, and on-premises environments.
