AWS End User Messaging strengthens SMS deliverability with automatic failover
AWS End User Messaging now includes automatic failover for SMS sent through phone pools. This enhancement automatically reroutes messages to the best performing number in a pool when SMS delivery is impacted by downstream disruptions. The capability aims to improve deliverability for critical, time-sensitive communications such as one-time passcodes and delivery notifications. No customer action is required for existing phone pool users, and it is available in all AWS End User Messaging regions.

- Automatic SMS Failover in Phone Pools
AWS End User Messaging now automatically reroutes SMS traffic through the next best performing number in a phone pool when delivery is impacted by downstream disruptions. This helps maintain deliverability for critical, time-sensitive messages like one-time passcodes and notifications without requiring any customer action.
