AWS FinOps Agent preview announced
AWS announces the preview of its FinOps Agent, a new tool designed to help FinOps practitioners and engineering teams manage cloud costs. The agent can answer cost-related questions, identify optimization opportunities, investigate anomalies, and automate workflows. It is currently available in preview in the US East (N. Virginia) Region and offers cost and usage data for most AWS Regions at no charge during the preview period.

The new agent provides FinOps practitioners and engineering teams with capabilities to answer cost questions, identify optimization opportunities, automatically investigate cost anomalies, and run scheduled FinOps workflows.
- Agent integrates with AWS cost optimization tools and communication platforms
FinOps Agent surfaces recommendations from AWS Cost Optimization Hub and AWS Compute Optimizer, can create Jira tickets, and posts anomaly investigation findings to Slack channels for engineering team notification.
