AWS GovCloud gains new Claude models and user activity monitoring

AWS GovCloud (US) now offers Claude Opus 4.8 and Sonnet 5 models, enhancing reasoning and efficiency for complex tasks. Additionally, Kiro IDE provides enterprise administrators with user activity monitoring, including usage dashboards and per-user reports stored in customer S3 buckets. These updates are available to users with updated IDE/CLI versions and can be accessed via the model selector.

  • Kiro IDE adds user activity monitoring for administrators

    Kiro enterprise administrators in AWS GovCloud (US) can now monitor organizational usage with a built-in dashboard and per-user activity reports. Telemetry, including credits and model usage, is delivered daily to the customer's S3 bucket for auditing and optimization.

  • Optional prompt logging available for compliance and debugging

    Kiro in AWS GovCloud (US) offers optional prompt logging, capturing user prompts and responses for compliance and debugging purposes. All data is stored within the customer's AWS account, with no additional charge beyond S3 storage costs.
