AWS Interconnect GA enables multicloud connectivity with OCI
AWS Interconnect is now generally available, offering direct, private connections between AWS and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) to simplify multicloud networking. This aims to reduce the complexity of managing large-scale, multi-layered networks across different cloud providers. The service is available for OCI in us-east-1, with Google Cloud support and Microsoft Azure support coming later.

Features (1) ›
- General availability of AWS Interconnect for multicloud
AWS Interconnect - multicloud is now generally available, providing purpose-built, private connections for customers to establish resilient and scalable links to other cloud providers. This service simplifies multicloud networking by offering a consistent experience for interconnecting workloads on OCI and Google Cloud.
Enhancements (1) ›
- Simplified multicloud networking
Previously, establishing connections between cloud providers required complex 'do-it-yourself' approaches. AWS Interconnect offers a new way for clouds to connect, reducing the burden of building and managing global multi-layered networks at scale.
Notes (2) ›
- Cross-cloud provider support roadmap
OCI launched support for AWS Interconnect in public preview in May. While the GA launch enables connections with OCI and Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure support is slated for release later in 2026.
- Availability and access
AWS Interconnect - multicloud is available with OCI in the us-east-1 (N. Virginia) AWS Region. Customers can provision connections using the AWS Management Console, CLI, or API.
