AWS launches second-generation single-rack Outposts for on-premises edge workloads
AWS has announced the general availability of its second-generation single-rack Outposts, a compact 42U unit integrating compute, storage, and networking. This solution is designed for on-premises workloads that require low latency, local data processing, and data residency in space and power-constrained environments. It offers up to 2,688 vCPU and 100 TB of Amazon EBS storage, supporting the latest x86-powered EC2 instances. Organizations in manufacturing, gaming, and similar industries can leverage it to modernize their infrastructure while maintaining a consistent experience with AWS Regions.
