AWS Spot Placement Score Now Includes Local Zones

AWS has updated its Spot Placement Score service to include AWS Local Zones in its capacity evaluation. This enhancement allows users to optionally request Local Zone information alongside regional and zonal scores, providing a more comprehensive view of available Spot capacity. The feature helps users identify optimal locations for their Spot instance requests, improving the likelihood of successful capacity provisioning. This capability is accessible via the EC2 Spot Console, AWS CLI, and SDK, benefiting engineers and architects optimizing compute costs and availability.
