Cloud SQL: Change backup plan association
Users can now change the backup plan associated with a Cloud SQL instance through the Google Cloud console and gcloud CLI. This enhancement allows for more flexible data protection strategies by enabling instances to switch to different backup plans under specific conditions. This feature is relevant for administrators managing Cloud SQL instances and requires the new backup plan to use the same vault and region as the instance.

You can now change the backup plan associated with a Cloud SQL instance. This allows you to switch an instance to a different backup plan, provided the new plan uses the same backup vault and is in the same region as the instance.
