CloudWatch Metrics Centralization now generally available
Amazon CloudWatch Metrics Centralization is now generally available, allowing users to replicate metrics across accounts and regions into a single destination. This feature helps enterprise teams gain a unified view of operational health in complex, multi-account deployments. Central teams can now own and query metrics for various operational needs, with support for both CloudWatch and OpenTelemetry metrics.

- Unified operational visibility for central teams
Central teams can define rules through AWS Organizations to automatically replicate metrics, gaining full ownership for querying, alarming, compliance, and governance. This provides improved visibility and control over operational data.
- Broad compatibility with CloudWatch features and OpenTelemetry
Centralized metrics are compatible with both CloudWatch and OpenTelemetry metrics. They fully integrate with existing CloudWatch features such as Metrics Insights, dashboards, alarms, Metric Math, anomaly detection, Metric Streams, and PromQL.
