feature

Amazon EC2 I7i instances, powered by 5th Gen Intel Xeon Processors and AWS Nitro SSDs, are now available in the Asia Pacific (Thailand) and Israel (Tel Aviv) regions. These instances offer improved compute and storage performance for I/O intensive and latency-sensitive workloads, with up to 45TB of NVMe storage and enhanced I/O latency. They are suitable for applications demanding high random IOPS and real-time latency, with specific improvements for database performance and network/EBS bandwidth.

  • EC2 I7i instances now available in new AWS regions
  • Torn write prevention for database performance
  • Improved compute and storage performance compared to I4i instances
  • High network and EBS bandwidth
Features (2)
  • EC2 I7i instances now available in new AWS regions

Amazon EC2 I7i instances, featuring 5th Gen Intel Xeon Processors and AWS Nitro SSDs, are now launched in the Asia Pacific (Thailand) and Israel (Tel Aviv) regions. These instances provide enhanced compute and storage performance for demanding workloads.

  • Torn write prevention for database performance

The new I7i instances include torn write prevention support for up to 16KB block sizes. This feature aims to eliminate database performance bottlenecks for customers.

Enhancements (2)
  • Improved compute and storage performance compared to I4i instances

I7i instances deliver up to 23% better compute performance and more than 10% better price performance over previous generation I4i instances. They offer up to 45TB of NVMe storage with up to 50% better real-time storage performance and reduced I/O latency.

  • High network and EBS bandwidth

Available in eleven sizes, I7i instances offer up to 100Gbps of network bandwidth and 60Gbps of Amazon Elastic Block Store (EBS) bandwidth. This supports a wide range of I/O intensive and latency-sensitive workloads.
