Amazon EC2 C7a instances now available in US West (N. California)

Amazon EC2 C7a instances, powered by 4th Gen AMD EPYC processors, are now available in the US West (N. California) Region. These compute-optimized instances offer up to 50% higher performance and significantly more memory bandwidth than C6a instances, along with support for new processor capabilities and increased EBS volume attachments. They are ideal for compute-intensive and latency-sensitive workloads, available via On-Demand, Spot Instances, and Savings Plans.

    Amazon EC2 C7a instances, featuring 4th Gen AMD EPYC processors, are now available in the US West (N. California) Region. These instances offer up to 50% higher performance and 2.25x more memory bandwidth than C6a instances, ideal for compute-intensive and latency-sensitive workloads. They support AVX-512, VNNI, and bfloat16, and allow up to 128 EBS volume attachments, compared to 28 on C6a instances.

  • EC2 C7a instances built on AWS Nitro System

    These instances are built on the AWS Nitro System, making them suitable for workloads such as batch processing, distributed analytics, high performance computing (HPC), ad serving, gaming, and video encoding. They are available in 12 sizes, including a bare-metal option.

  • Availability options for C7a instances

    C7a instances are available through On-Demand, Spot Instances, and Savings Plans. Customers can access them via the AWS Management Console, AWS CLI, and AWS SDKs.
