Features (1) ›
- EC2 M6in and M6idn instances now available in Hyderabad and Sao Paulo
Amazon EC2 M6in and M6idn instances have been launched in the AWS Asia Pacific (Hyderabad) and South America (Sao Paulo) regions. These network-optimized instances are powered by 3rd Generation Intel Xeon Scalable processors and built on the AWS Nitro System.
Enhancements (3) ›
- Increased network bandwidth and performance
The instances offer up to 200Gbps of network bandwidth, double that of comparable fifth-generation instances. They also support up to 100Gbps of Amazon Elastic Block Store (EBS) bandwidth and up to 400K IOPS, with Elastic Fabric Adapter (EFA) networking support available on specific sizes.
- Support for network-intensive workloads
M6in and M6idn instances are designed for workloads requiring high network performance, such as high-performance file systems, distributed in-memory caches, real-time big data analytics, and Telco applications like 5G User Plane Function.
- Flexible instance configurations
Available in 10 instance sizes, including metal, these instances can offer up to 128 vCPUs and 512 GiB of memory. M6idn instances include up to 7.6 TB of high-speed instance storage.
Notes (1) ›
- Expanded regional availability
With this expansion, M6in and M6idn instances are now available in a total of 21 AWS Regions. Customers can choose to purchase these instances through Savings Plans, On-Demand, or Spot instances.
