General-purpose Amazon EC2 M8a instances are now available in the AWS Asia Pacific (Hyderabad) region. These instances feature 5th Gen AMD EPYC processors and offer improved performance, memory bandwidth, and price-performance compared to M7a instances.

M8a instances deliver up to 60% faster performance for GroovyJVM benchmark and up to 39% faster for Cassandra benchmark compared to Amazon EC2 M7a instances. They are also ideal for latency-sensitive workloads due to higher memory bandwidth.
- M8a instances offer SAP certification and flexible sizing
These instances are SAP-certified and come in 12 sizes, including two bare metal options, allowing customers to match instance specifications closely to their workload needs. This makes them suitable for applications such as financial services, gaming, rendering, and caching fleets.
