Amazon EC2 M8azn instances, powered by fifth generation AMD EPYC processors, are now available in the Europe (Ireland) Region. These general purpose instances offer significant performance improvements in CPU frequency, memory bandwidth, network throughput, and cache size compared to previous generations, making them suitable for latency-sensitive and compute-intensive workloads. They are ideal for industries like finance, automotive, and energy, and are available in 9 sizes including bare metal options.

    Amazon EC2 M8azn instances are now available in the Europe (Ireland) Region. These instances feature fifth generation AMD EPYC processors and offer high-frequency, high-network performance with up to 5GHz CPU frequency.

  • Multiple instance sizes and bare metal options

    M8azn instances are offered in 9 sizes, ranging from 2 to 96 vCPUs with up to 384 GiB of memory. Two bare metal variants are also available.

  • Performance improvements over previous generations

    M8azn instances provide up to 2x compute performance compared to M5zn instances and up to 24% higher performance than M8a instances. They also offer up to 4.3x higher memory bandwidth and 10x larger L3 cache, along with up to 2x networking and 3x EBS throughput.
