AWS Compute Optimizer adds 32-day lookback for EBS and ECS rightsizing

AWS Compute Optimizer now allows a 32-day lookback period for EBS volume and ECS service rightsizing recommendations, up from the default 14 days. This change is available at no additional cost.

The extended lookback period enables Compute Optimizer to consider monthly utilization patterns, such as month-end processing, for more informed rightsizing recommendations. This can lead to better cost and performance outcomes for workloads.
- Expanded support for 32-day lookback across multiple recommendation types
In addition to EBS volumes and ECS services, the 32-day lookback period is now supported for EC2 instances, EC2 Auto Scaling groups, and RDS databases. Users can configure this setting at the organization, account, or resource level.
