AWS introduces Amazon EC2 T8i instances, offering improved price performance

AWS has announced the general availability of Amazon EC2 T8i instances, powered by custom sixth-generation Intel Xeon 6 processors and AWS Nitro cards. These new burstable instances deliver up to 30% better price performance, 70% higher compute, 1.25x network, and 2.4x EBS bandwidth compared to T3 instances. Designed for workloads with low to moderate CPU utilization, such as small databases, microservices, and CI/CD pipelines, they offer four sizes and maintain the T3 CPU credit system. T8i.micro and T8i.small are available under the AWS Free Tier, with availability across multiple AWS regions for On-Demand and Spot instances.
