Databricks-managed MCP Connectors for Genie One Now Generally Available
Databricks-managed MCP connectors for Google Drive, Microsoft 365, Atlassian, and Slack are now generally available for Genie One, enabling its chat functionality to search and act on company tools. These connections are governed by Unity Catalog and Unity Gateway, which handle authorization, policy enforcement, and audit logging. Each user authenticates individually, ensuring secure access without shared OAuth tokens. This enhancement provides secure and governed access to enterprise data sources for AI-powered assistance.

Chat in Genie One can now use Databricks-managed MCP connectors to interact with external tools like Google Drive, Microsoft 365, Atlassian, and Slack. Every connection is governed through Unity Catalog and Unity Gateway, which authorizes each tool call, enforces policies, and logs usage and audit activity.
