Databricks Unity Catalog Integrates with AWS Secrets Manager for External Secrets
Databricks Unity Catalog now supports external secrets, allowing schemas to connect directly to AWS Secrets Manager. These secrets are presented as read-only securable objects within Unity Catalog, enabling governance through its privilege model. Databricks retrieves secret values from AWS Secrets Manager on demand, enhancing secure credential management. This capability is currently available in Beta.

- External Secrets in Unity Catalog via AWS Secrets Manager
Databricks Unity Catalog can now connect schemas to AWS Secrets Manager, making external secrets available as read-only securable objects. These secrets can be governed using Unity Catalog privileges, with their values retrieved on-demand from AWS Secrets Manager.
