EC2 Auto Scaling Instance Refresh integrated with CloudFormation
Amazon EC2 Auto Scaling now supports the Instance Refresh feature directly within AWS CloudFormation update policies. This integration allows CloudFormation to automatically trigger instance refreshes when properties change, offering capabilities like root volume replacement and controlled rollouts with bake times. Existing Auto Scaling features and health checks remain active during updates, ensuring service continuity. The feature is available across all AWS Regions at no additional cost.
